Pilgrim Korean Rice Water Hydra Glow Moisturizer Review: My 3-Month Experience

Pilgrim Korean Rice Water Hydra Glow Moisturizer Review: My 3-Month Experience

Written by Sandeep Patodiya When I buy a skincare product, I don’t like judging it just by the packaging, brand name, or the claims written on the box. I like to use it myself. I want to know how it actually feels after using it for weeks, whether I enjoy applying it every day, how long the product lasts, and most importantly, whether I would buy it again with my own money. That is exactly how I approached the Pilgrim Korean Rice Water Hydra Glow Moisturizer. I have been using this moisturizer for around 2–3 months, and this is my honest review based on my own experience. I am not writing this review to tell you that this is the best moisturizer in the market. I am simply sharing what I noticed while using it regularly. And honestly, there are a few things about this moisturizer that I really liked. Pilgrim Rice Water Hydra Glow Moisturizer: Quick Review Before getting into the detailed review, here is my quick opinion. My experience: Positive Usage period: Around 2–3 months My usage: Approximately once every two days Texture: Lightweight and comfortable Oily feeling: Low Sticky feeling: Low Fragrance: Soft and pleasant to me Niacinamide: 3% My purchase price: ₹300 MRP on my pack: ₹395 My rating: 4.5/5 This is based on my personal experience, not a promise that everyone will get the same result. What Is Pilgrim Korean Rice Water Hydra Glow Moisturizer? Pilgrim Korean Rice Water Hydra Glow Moisturizer is a face moisturizer based around Korean Rice Water. The product also contains 3% Niacinamide, along with ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides. The main reason I decided to try it was simple. I wanted a moisturizer that could make my skin feel comfortable after washing my face without leaving it feeling extremely oily or sticky. And after using it for a few months, I can say that this is one area where I liked the product. My First Impression of the Moisturizer The first thing I noticed was the texture. You know how some creams feel like you have put a thick layer of product on your face? I don’t like that. I also don’t like moisturizers that make my face feel oily immediately after applying them. This one felt different to me. It was comfortable. It did not feel extremely heavy. It did not make my face feel excessively oily. And it did not leave the kind of sticky feeling that makes you want to wash your face again. For me, that was a good start. I Have Used It for Around 2–3 Months This is important because I don’t believe a skincare review should be based only on using a product two or three times. I have been using this moisturizer for around 2–3 months. I don’t apply it every single day. My usage has been around once every two days. And because I use only a small amount, the product has lasted much longer than I expected. Even after this much time, I still had a large amount of product left. Around 80% of the cream was still there, according to my usage. So if you don’t use too much moisturizer at once, this can last you for quite some time. What Makes This Moisturizer Different for Me? There are three things I noticed immediately. 1. It Doesn’t Feel Too Oily This is probably my biggest positive point. I personally don’t enjoy having an oily layer on my face after applying moisturizer. With this one, I get moisture without that very heavy oily feeling. That’s especially useful for me when I have to sit and work afterward. 2. It Doesn’t Feel Very Sticky Another thing I liked is that it doesn’t keep my face feeling sticky. I apply it, let it settle, and continue with my work. I don’t spend the next hour thinking about the moisturizer on my face. That might sound like a small thing, but for me, it matters. A skincare product should be comfortable enough that you actually want to keep using it. 3. The Fragrance Is Soft The moisturizer does have a fragrance. Personally, I like it. The fragrance feels soft to me rather than being too strong. Whenever I apply it, I get a fresh feeling from the product. Of course, fragrance is a personal choice. If you are someone who avoids fragrance in skincare, check the ingredients before buying. What About the 3% Niacinamide? The moisturizer contains 3% Niacinamide. Niacinamide is a common ingredient used in skincare products. It is generally used in products that are made to support a smoother and more even-looking skin appearance. But here is my honest view. Don’t buy a moisturizer just because you see the word “Niacinamide” on the package and expect overnight results. That is not how I look at skincare. For me, the overall product matters. How does it feel? Can I use it comfortably? Does it fit into my routine? Does my skin feel good after using it? In the case of this moisturizer, my answer to those questions has been mostly yes. How I Use Pilgrim Rice Water Moisturizer My routine is very simple. First, I wash my face. I have also used it after my Plum Niacinamide Simply Bright Face Wash. After washing my face, I apply a small amount of the Pilgrim moisturizer. I spread it evenly over my face and let it settle. That’s it. I don’t believe you need to put a huge amount of moisturizer on your face. A small amount works well for my routine. If I am using it during the daytime, I also believe sunscreen should be part of a proper skincare routine. My Experience After Face Wash + Moisturizer This is actually my favourite part of the routine. After washing my face, I get that clean and fresh feeling. Then I apply the moisturizer. The combination gives my skin a comfortable feeling. My face doesn’t feel dry immediately after washing. At … Read more
